My recent pick from the local library turned out to be an interesting read. "The Art of the Start" by Guy Kawasaki. I'd recommend this for anyone who is planning to start his/her own business, or seek venture capital. Guy is a distinguished entrepreneur and venture capitalist, and offers a lot of insights in jumpstarting and running a business, and has structured the book in such a way that parts of it can be used as a check list for those putting together a business plan or presentation to seek venture funds. It is detail oriented (to the extent of recommending dark backround for power point, or company name starting with capital letter!), and filled with notable quotes that makes one think. Guy also reflects the "Think Different" mantra as an Apple alumni, with ample non-conventional wisdom flowing through out the book. Happy Reading.
